• Ms. Shaili Sett , SRF in the group of Prof. A.K. Raychaudhuri has own best poster award in YSC 2018 organized by the MRSI, Kolkata Chapter for her poster :"Detection of femto Watt optical power using self-powered broadband detector made form a Single strand of a Germanium Nanowire".
• Ms. Sanchi Maithani, SRF from the group of Dr. Manik Pradhan has received the Best Poster Award in the "National Conference on Advances in Spectroscopy: Molecules to Materials-2018" held in Ahmedabad during 4-6 October, 2018.
• Mr. Avinash Kumar Chaurasiya from Professor Anjan Barman's group has been selected for the 'Newton-Bhabha PhD Placement Program' Award by British Council, Department of Science and Technology and Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India to work for 3 months in Imperial College London.

S N Bose Center has displayed "Prof. S N Bose Archive" at India International Science Festival (IISF 2018), Lucknow.

S N Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata organized a one-day intense event, “Industry Academia Meet -2018”, under the banner of Technical Research Centre project of S N Bose Centre. The dignitaries from industry and academia shared their ideas and experiences that would help in building up the roadmaps for the fruitful translational research environment in the near future. In this occasion, an exhibition cum demonstration of newly developed prototypes/technologies of the Centre was organized.
